These are the dogs you don't see. The ones not in the Adoption album. The ones someone got tired of, so tired they couldn't loosen a too-tight collar or be bothered to give enough food. And when even that becomes too much, the ones that are dumped outside the locked gate in front of a closed shelter, left to wander off along the highway like this boy did, nearly getting struck by the cars passing him by, or to hobble off and die unnoticed but any but the buzzards.
This gentle soul was so happy to have some food and water. Despite his state, he did not mind people handling his bowl or guiding him to safety. He will receive wound care daily and is accepting everything well. Donations for this sweet boy's vet bill would be gratefully appreciated.
